A New Vision
Survivor led since 2019
A holistic approach to Complex PTSD recovery
Recovery Code X is a Community Interest Company (CIC) founded in 2019 to improve the lives of people with Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (Complex PTSD) – also known as CPTSD and complex trauma.
Recovery Code X was founded by women with lived experience of childhood trauma and recovery. We recognise the expertise of survivors who have transformed their lives despite numerous societal obstacles and a general lack of understanding of Complex PTSD. Our 'survivor led' ethos enshrines the wisdom brought by those with lived experience.

Our Vision
Our Mission
Our mission is to inspire and empower people who have experienced repetitive, ongoing abuse and trauma to discover the key that will unlock their unique path to recovery. We aim to provide a safe environment and the tools to support everyone's journey to wholeness and harmony in mind, body and soul.
Our Philosophy
Everyone has a right to good health and happiness.
Everyone is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of income, disability, age, gender, race or religious belief.
We are each born with a unique purpose to fulfil, gifts to share, a dream to live.
We have a right to live in alignment with our soul’s purpose.
Our challenges do not define us; they refine and make us who we are today.
We all have an innate capacity to heal.
It’s never too late to begin the journey to wholeness.
Self-expression in a safe environment builds confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
Compassion is balm to the soul.
Love overrides trauma.
Wounds can heal.
A better life is possible.

Melanie Tomsett BSc Hons (Homeopathy) is an experienced shamanic practitioner, teacher, counsellor and homeopath. Her shamanic education began in 1991 under the guidance of the late author and teacher, Kenneth Meadows, a key facilitator of the reintroduction of Shamanism to the UK. Melanie realised she had Complex PTSD while undertaking her own journey to heal her life. Her experiences and learning deeply inform and underpin her continuing work to help others regain their personal power, strength and resilience.
People who attend Melanie's groups and courses are surprised by her warmth and kindness. They feel held, can talk honestly and openly about important topics, and leave having made good connections.
Melanie supports others on their journey of recovery from Complex PTSD, facilitates groups and shares her knowledge of the psychological and holistic health benefits of shamanic practices.
Hilary is the Chaplain for Luton and Bedfordshire Community Mental Health Services within the East London NHS Foundation Trust. She learned first-hand the importance to service users of the spiritual dimension in their lives, especially in enabling them to find healing
Founded in her own faith, she has ministered to people of all faiths and none, recognising our shared spirituality and the importance of every human life in God’s creation. She hopes to bring another dimension to Recovery Code X’s ability to develop and enhance its holistic approach to the recovery and support of those with profound mental health concerns.

Her students say she changed their lives, gave them a sense of self-worth. She has served as a committee member and director/trustee for several small charities since she was a teenager.

Victoria Hart, Survivors Hub Support
A Mastery Coach and Intuitive Healer, Victoria helps those ready to shift from unconscious living to consciously creating a new story. Her work is deeply rooted in ancient wisdom, harnessing the transformative power of Shamanic Principles, Water Consciousness, Light Codes, the Rays of Creation and Sacred Geometry - the very building blocks of reality.
Awakening was not a gentle unfolding – it was like being shaken awake from a deep slumber. When she realised she was an adult child of narcissists, Victoria's world shattered. The illusions she had carried fell away, forcing her to confront unconscious patterns and reclaim her power. Her own journey - through complex PTSD, disentangling from family dynamics, and learning deep self-trust - became her initiation.
Victoria specialises in guiding individuals to awaken to freedom, particularly in times of chaos, crisis and conflict.
Her mission is to create balance and harmony between humanity and nature by realising her true potential and power and teaching others to do the same.
