Moon Shadow Membership Terms and Conditions
Moon Shadow therapeutic program for women self-identifying or diagnosed with symptoms of Complex PTSD consists of fourteen fortnightly group interactive sessions. The Theory and Experiential sessions will be of approximately two hours each in duration, starting at 7pm one Friday per month, and the Reflection and Sharing Peer Support sessions will be approximately one hour in duration, starting at 7pm on a Wednesday, with the exception of the last December session which will be on a Monday. The sessions are held on Zoom.
We aim to create a safe space where you can express what you are feeling and be supported by the group. The Theory and Experiential sessions will focus on identifying traumatic syndromes, group discussion and experiential exercises. We will look at problem solving and symptom relief within a holistic context where possible and share information on shamanic techniques that have been shown to be beneficial.
The Reflection and Sharing sessions provide a safe space to share and reflect on topics being covered in a supportive space.

Price
The course consists of fourteen live online sessions over a seven-month period. There is a fee of £65 per session, which calculates at £130 per month for the two sessions, a total cost of £910. Payments can be made in full or by monthly standing orders. Refer to our Payment Policy for further details
Feedback forms
In attending the program, you agree to the completion of online survey questionnaires for quality assurance monitoring. The surveys are anonymous and data will be treated as confidential.
While all attempts have been made to verify the information provided in our group sessions, Recovery Code X, its directors, and assigns, assume no responsibility for errors, omissions, or contrary interpretation of the subject matter herein.
We do not claim to cure, diagnose, or heal any ailment. The information provided in Moon Shadow sessions is not meant as a substitute for professional counselling, psychotherapy, personal medical advice or professional medical care. We encourage you to share this with your GP. If you have worrisome symptoms or conditions, contact your GP immediately.
Risks
In all physical activity and holistic therapies introduced within the group or suggested as home practice, it is important that you take care of yourself. Please make sure to stop any activity if you feel pain or discomfort. Explore the boundaries of your limits and do not go beyond them.
Working with some holistic therapies can heighten feelings of sadness, anger, fear and anxiety.
If you have a pre-existing psychological condition, a history of abuse, drug use or trauma these reactions can be heightened.
Holistic therapies can be an adjunct, but not a substitute, to professional psychological therapy so please be sure to inform us about any pre-existing conditions that may limit your participation.
Benefits
Although there is no guarantee, holistic therapies can have many physical and mental health benefits. Some of these will be explored throughout the series.
We kindly ask that you attend on a regular basis and that you not miss more than one session. If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact us and let us know of your intended absence (otherwise we worry about you).

Privacy and confidentiality
During a Moon Shadow group session, we take participants into our confidence. We share a mutual expectation that people in attendance will extend to each other reciprocal support and respect.
During sessions, it is recommended that only first names are used. Even a pseudonym is okay. Anonymity respects the boundaries of participants. We are all in various stages of recovery. Some stages and some people require more anonymity than others. Respectful anonymity also extends beyond Moon Shadow meetings. Participants should not be contacting each other unless the person being contacted has explicitly given permission. When friendships develop, each party extends permission to contact each other both implicitly and explicitly.
Developing friendships does not violate anonymity. Repeating something from a session to another person outside the group is a breach of confidence. Repeating something that directly or indirectly violates a person's anonymity is a gross violation of that person's confidence. It is acceptable to discuss with others one's own feelings and experiences, but not those of members of the group. It is acceptable to discuss with others, themes and holistic therapies that come up in a session. Naturally, you would discuss these from your own personal perspective and not include confidential information from others.
Please be assured that any information you provide to Recovery Code X will be kept in strict confidence in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Health and Safety
You are not permitted to attend our group sessions under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unless the medication is prescribed by a doctor. Moon Shadow meetings are not intended for those who are currently perpetrating abuse on others. Other programs exist to help people with perpetrator type behaviour deal with impulse control, anger management, boundaries, etc. Consistently sharing information in a manner that is offensive and/or antagonistic to other members will also not be tolerated. The harassment of members of the group for dating or other purposes, could lead to a verbal warning followed by a prohibition from attending future sessions. In such instances, fees are non-refundable.
Under certain extreme conditions, those in charge of the sessions (the facilitators), in conjunction with the other participants, have the option, authority, and responsibility to prohibit a member from participating in Moon Shadow meetings. We may also in our absolute discretion end the contract, if, in our reasonable opinion, your attendance or behaviour is unsatisfactory, or your continued participation is likely to cause harm to you or to others. In such instances, fees are non-refundable.
