This is part of our mission to help prevent the development of Complex PTSD in our community and the population as a whole. We believe that by joining the White Ribbon Ambassador programme, we will be able to help raise awareness of the links between domestic abuse, workplace bullying and aggression, and Complex PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder).
Join us in this initiative to create a safer and more supportive environment for everyone and help prevent Complex PTSD.
Complex PTSD, says The Lancet (July 02, 2022, Vol 400, Issue 10345), is characterised by three core post-traumatic symptom clusters, along with chronic and pervasive disturbances in emotion regulation, identity, and relationships.
Complex PTSD was adopted as a new diagnosis in the World Health Organisation's International Classification of Diseases, 11th revision
(ICD-11) in 2018. Individuals with complex PTSD typically have sustained or multiple exposures to trauma, such as childhood abuse and domestic or community violence.

Recovery Code X is giving companies the chance to put their money into helping adults recover from the psychological harm caused to them as abused and/or neglected children. It is well documented that the effects of growing up in a severely traumatising environment don’t vanish when you leave the nest. They express themselves later as depression and anxiety, getting overwhelmed (triggered) easily, and feelings of hopelessness and powerlessness. You may feel numb and disconnected from yourself and your feelings and cut yourself from people who are generally perceived as untrustworthy.
Complex PTSD is frequently overlooked when people seek help, and medication is the most common form of treatment. Peer support groups facilitated by specially trained and qualified survivors offer a safe place to share difficulties, receive support and learn about healthy coping methods.
Getting out into the community to spread the word about our services is crucial. We urgently need £1,130 to cover the costs of a summer/autumn roadshow – stalls with healing spaces for tasters of complementary therapies that can help with the psychological problems associated with Complex PTSD.
