We know that feelings of shame are normal after traumatic experiences and can be a barrier to seeking help. Now a team of researchers based at Oxford University and Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are seeking your views on this topic and others to help improve access to services. The questionnaire is anonymous and takes only 10 - 15 mins to complete.
Eligibility: UK adults struggling with trauma-related difficulties who have not yet accessed a trauma therapy.

The damning article, based on personal experience, speaks of pressure to take medications in exchange for support and being dismissed and re-traumatised by those who are supposed to help, but have little understanding of Complex PTSD.
Survivors are angry, says the author, adding: 'We have been oppressed and silenced, left in the shadows for too long. It is time we were properly heard, properly seen.'
